Some EU countries already have a positive list, although it varies from country to country. These are
Lithuania, Italy, France, Cyprus, Luxembourg, Belgium, the Netherlands, Malta and Slovenia; outside
the EU, Norway. Other countries preparing such a list include Germany, Austria, Spain, Ireland,
Finland and Sweden, Denmark, Estonia and Croatia.

Several other EU countries support the introduction of an EU-wide positive list, too. However, it is
necessary to mention that these are countries where breeding is at a completely different,
undeveloped level, so almost no one would be affected by a possible ban on breeding in these
countries.
